The concept of overcoming trauma is what draws me so much to the characters in @sarahjmaas books. The protagonists have all had to suffer through and deal with trauma in their own ways. It is this journey of healing that we are invited into and it is different for each character.

I knew I wanted to eventually paint it in a way that gave Nesta back her power, that showed her triumphant over the Kelpie and at the first stages of healing her quite beaten up soul.
